National Cadet Corps (NCC)


The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a premier uniformed youth organisation that nurtures our cadets to be extraordinary youth leaders through a wide spectrum of activities. In Beatty Secondary School, our NCC unit places great emphasis on inculcating the following NCC core values in our cadets:

Every Friday 2:30pm – 6:00pm
Every Tuesday 3:30pm – 5:30pm (PDS & FSD)

Achievements and Highlights

  • Unit Recognition Award – consecutive Distinction Awards from 2012 onwards
  • Outstanding Cadet Award (awarded by HQ NCC) – MSG Herman Cho
  • Participated in the annual Freestyle Exhibition Drills (FSD) Competition
  • Attained national championship at the 2019 Precision Drills Squad (PDS) Competition
  • Participated in the annual Fitness Challenge
  • National Day Parade Marching Contingent
  • International Cadet Exchange Programme – SSG Alden Tan was part of the Singapore NCC contingent who went to USA
  • Mount Ophir Climbing Expedition – SSG Ivan Chew and SSG Tan Xuan Hao were part of the Singapore NCC contingent who successfully scaled Mount Ophir
  • Embarked on the unit’s first ever overseas trip to Gopeng, Malaysia
  • Senior Specialist Leaders Courses
  • 1-Star Kayaking Certification Course
